Just about everything you need to start fly fishing in a grab and go package. Just add reel, line and leaders and you are ready to go. Nothing high end expensive or fancy here, but a nice set for a novice to start or an experienced fly fisherman seeking something a little different.
The rod is a IM8 graphite 9', 3/4 weight, 4 piece rod. An all around rod that casts nice. Nice silver and black wraps with silver alignment dots to help you line it up when putting it together. It also has a hook keeper.
I turned the handle of multiple woods: walnut, maple, mahogany. One of the best I have done in a while. Simply beautiful. Up-locking walnut-colored reel seat.
The case is nothing fancy. Made of painted plywood and Spanish cedar with decorative pyrography. The outside is covered in multiple coats of lacquer. I used a faux leather straps with snap to help hold fly boxes in place.
The fly boxes, one dry fly and nymph. Small and made of bamboo plywood, and have magnetic closings. I will include the flies.
